Any great chef will tell you, it all starts with the quality of the ingredients. We are therefore very proud to work with some incredible suppliers bringing you the freshest catch from small boats around the UK, along the best ingredients to bring out the flavours and taste, with the right beer or wine to accompany our great dishes.
Below you will find details of where we source our ingredients, and some of our inspiration.
Fresh fish and shellfish
You don't need to be a foodie to know George Cleave. George operates, George Cleave Fish Merchants and Seafood School from Port Issac, and supplies us with the best the sea has to offer, Tuesday to Saturday.
Plymouth Fisheries at Sutton Harbour provides the freshest fish straight from small independent ports, supporting the local fishing industry. Their electronic auction system means we get fish straight from the boat to our fishmonger. It doesn't get any better.
As fish farming goes, it doesn’t get any cleaner, greener or with such low impact as the stunning Chalk Stream Trout. We stock their delicious fresh and smoked Rainbows.
In addition we source fresh fish and shellfish from locations across the UK including
Lyme Bay, Dorset
North Uist, Outer Hebrides
Beer and Wine
There is nothing better than having a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc with freshly grilled fish or fried Calamari with an ice cold beer.
We are delighted to be in the hands of the talented Camilla from
Somerset Wine Co, who is curating carefully chosen wines, fizz and sherry.
For our selection of beers we’re spoilt for choice with our guest local craft beer line alongside some stunning bottles of Cervezas and Pilsners.
It all starts with the seafood. To create truly amazing dishes we accompany our fresh fish and shellfish with the finest ingredients from
Brickell’s Ice Cream
Tytherington Farm Milk
Glastonbury Spring Water
Cornish Sea Weed Co
Hay Farm, Lyme Bay
Folly Farm Herbs
